Booking a trip to Europe on your own VS. a travel advisor.

Here’s the honest truth about planning Europe. It’s one of the most exciting trips you can take, and also one of the easiest to get wrong.

Because everything looks amazing online.

A hotel might look charming, have a great price point, and seem like a great location on a map.

A tour might seem like a great way to “see everything.” A quick search makes it all feel simple.

Until you’re there.

You realize your hotel that looked “centrally located” is actually a 25-minute walk from anything you want to do. You’re spending more time and money on taxis than you expected. You’re navigating unfamiliar streets at night, wishing you were just a little closer to it all.

Or you book the tour that promises to show you five cities in five days. It sounds efficient. It sounds like you’re maximizing your time.

But in reality, you’re on a bus more than you’re experiencing the places you came to see.

Rushed stops. Tight schedules. Little time to actually enjoy where you are. Oh, and don’t forget Bob and Sue bickering in the seat behind you half the trip.

You realize once it’s too late that the bucket list trip is falling short and it’s too late to pivot.

That’s where Vic’s Vacations comes in.

This isn’t about plugging destinations into a template or booking what looks good at first glance. It’s about building an itinerary that actually works once you’re there.

Where the hotel isn’t “close enough,” it’s intentional. Where you’re not losing hours of your day to logistics. Where your time is spent experiencing Europe, not figuring it out.

It’s knowing when to invest in a hotel that saves you time and energy, and when to be strategic so your budget stretches further where it matters most.

It’s avoiding the rushed, check-the-box version of Europe and creating something that feels thoughtful, paced, and actually enjoyable.

Because the goal isn’t just to see Europe.

It’s to experience it in a way that feels easy, seamless, and worth everything you put into getting there.

XO

Vic
