Vic's Vacations

Welcome to the Funjet Booking Portal! This portal gives you ALL the perks of working with me directly, while controlling the booking on your own!

This service is for you if...

  • You want to fully manage your booking, but have me to support you along the way.

  • You know exactly what you want based on previous travel or recommendations.

  • You want to play with pricing, flights, and resorts on your own.

  • You want to see what a trip costs before reaching out for help.

  • You want to book domestic or International travel.

Before booking your trip, check out the 6 tips on this page for the best experience and don't forget to check out my video tutorial here! My suggestion would be to view the video on your cell phone while making the booking on your desktop.

Benefits to Self-Booking:

  • If something goes wrong before or during your trip, I can intervene on your behalf.

  • After you book through this link, you will receive all the resources that I provide my clients.

  • If I have a backlog of trips to get to and you know exactly what you want, you don't have to wait for me to get to you--you can book all on your own!

  • Have control over your trip. You can make your own modifications, flight choices based on personal preferences (layover length, layover city, etc.), and make your own payments on your schedule.

  • You can price out your own trip. Instead of waiting on me to get quotes together, you can play with different flight/resort options to find something that fits your budget!

    • You can choose if you want to splurge on a specific resort or room category. If you fall in love with something you see, you can see all the options available to you with less back and forth with me.

After you book, fill out this Google Form and you will be granted access to resources from me. Filling out the Google Form (in addition to booking through this specific link) will allow me to speak on your behalf if something goes wrong before or during your trip.

  • You will be responsible for maintaining all details and payments on your trip.

  • I will be your emergency contact if things go wrong before or during your trip.

  • I will share my resources with you within one week after you fill out the Google Form!

Vic's Tips

Trips should include 4 main components:

Flights, Hotel, Transfers, and Insurance (yes... you need insurance...always)

2

Flights

If you live near more than one airport, try pricing out your trip with different origin airports. Here are some examples:

  • If you live in the NYC area, price trips from JFK, Laguardia, and Newark

  • If you live in Indianapolis, try IND, then ORD and MDW in Chicago, CVG in Cincinnati etc. Keep in mind drive time/gas/parking though.

Give yourself 2.5-3 hours for your return layover with enough time to go through customs and security on international trips.

3

Hotels

See this link to get Vic's list of suggested resorts to help you identify the right one!

Consider the different room categories!

  • Oceanfront vs Oceanview

    • Oceanview means you see the ocean in some capacity, how much can be deceiving. Oceanfront means you will have a full ocean visual from your room.

  • Swim-out Rooms

    • Seems fun! But, ask yourself if you'll use this feature. If not, save your money and splurge elsewhere!

4

Transfers

This is how you will get between the airport and your resort.

  • Shared Transfer

    • These will have many travelers on them and most likely will make a few stops on the way to your particular resort. They're the most economical option, but not the most fun.

  • Shared Nonstop Transfer

    • These will be shared; however, will only go from airport-resort-airport. They will not stop at other resorts. They are a good middle ground between a shared and private, but may still be packed with other travelers.

  • Private Transfer

    • This will just be for you and your travel companion(s)! It will be the nicest option, and is my recommendation so you can avoid making a long travel day even longer.

  • Group transfers.

    • If you are traveling with a group and will be sharing transfers. You may put a private transfer on one reservation then reach out to Amstar through this link to let them know the other passengers who will be on your shared transfer. You may also opt to book a transfer direct with USA Transfers!

5

Insurance

  • Credit Insurance

    • If you cancel your trip, you will receive a credit to rebook your trip at a later date. The credit will be for the cost of your trip minus the cost of the actual insurance. The credit usually lasts one year before expiring, and you MUST rebook again with Funjet.

  • Cash Back Insurance

    • You will receive your money back if you have to cancel your trip for any reason, less the cost of the insurance.

Other Tips

  • Play with your dates! Saturday to Saturday trips vs midweek start and end. You might have better flight options on a weekend.

  • If you have more than 4 people for one room, split up into 2 rooms and it will almost always be cheaper than trying to get a family suite.
